Mechanical Engineering Laboratory
The Mechanical Engineering Laboratory is a part of the Mechanical Engineering Research Institute. The laboratory is equipped with modern world-class equipment and is a platform for new technologies and innovative solutions in the Russian Federation. The laboratory houses developmental metal-cutting, measuring and training equipment, as well as a research complex for studying the technology of production and coating the surface of welded metal shells used in the production of electronic control systems. -
Experimental Mechanics Laboratory
Experimental Mechanics Laboratory helps SUSU scientists solve research problems, and also conducts complex tests for industrial enterprises in the Chelyabinsk region and Russia. The laboratory is based on advanced testing equipment and software. The purpose of the Experimental Mechanics Laboratory is to improve the quality and reduce the design time by building fully functional computer models of products and devices that are confirmed by test results. -
Supercomputer Simulation Laboratory
South Ural State University Supercomputer Simulation Laboratoryis in the center of the University's scientific life, allowing making complex calculations for calculations in the fields of engineering, natural sciences, human sciences, and IT. The main task of supercomputers is to perform big data analysis. -
Composite Materials Laboratory
The Composite Materials Laboratory isa part of an innovative, educational and engineering structure. The laboratory designs, explores and manufactures technologies with the use of composite materials on the basis of modern scientific and technological base, as well as develops scientific and practical potential in the field of new materials. -
Emerson Plantweb
The Laboratory of Intelligent Information and Measurement Systems of Process Control Based on the Distributed Intelligence Architecture Plantweb was based on the latest equipment of Emerson Corporation (USA), the world leader in the production of automation facilities. The laboratory was born as a result of a long-standing and close cooperation between the Metran Industrial Group and South Ural State University. The equipment installed in the laboratory allows to simulate energy accounting and energy regulation systems, providing control capabilities using fuzzy logic, neural networks, and forecasting. -
Laboratory of Mechanics, Laser Processes and Digital Production Technologies
The Research Laboratory for Mechanics, Laser Processes and Digital Production Technologies develops technologies for applying heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, strengthening, and gradient coatings using laser cladding and detonation spraying. The laboratory studies surface engineering, heat strengthening of the surface of machine parts and aggregates, repair and restoration of worn-out surfaces of machine parts and aggregates, engineering for the creation of laser jets and detonation complexes for production tasks. The laboratory scientists are working to apply functional coatings to various materials and studying it. The laboratory consists of 2 complexes – detonation coating and laser cladding. The laboratory conducts research in the field of traditional powder metallurgy technologies and of additive technologies.
